It's time to take a step back from the blog house and remember the first dance music I really fell in love with. When I was 18 I listened almost exclusively to vintage reggae and ska for over a year. Times have changed and I've been introduced to whole new worlds of music since then, but I still really appreciate the stuff. I really do believe I appreciate it for the same reasons I appreciate disco. They really arn't that different at all if you think about it. I'd get into it more, but I'm tired.
Anyways, my friend Isaac and I might be doing a '69 reggae night sometime soon, so here are a couple of somewhat rare cuts from the era that I'm really into. The kind of stuff you can expect to here if we ever do get that night together.
